The Flipper und Arcademuseum (Pinball and Arcademuseum) in Seligenstadt (near Frankfurt Main in Germany) offers now Tickets up to three month in advance.
Usualy new Tickets are sold within minutes as they get available. To give the visitors a little bit more planning time the ticket offering extends now from one to three month.
The museum is operated by volunteers and is the main reason for only one day of public access to all the gaming machines inside the facility. Another reason is that a little bit of time is needed to fix, maintain and prep all the retro machines for the next gaming sessions.
There will be a cancelation fee on the tickets to prevent abuse of the new system. Tickets can be canceled 24h before the booked day. There is a waitlist for all gamers that didn't get a ticket in the first place.

Synchronet for Windows comes now in it's fresh Version 3.21e and Syncterm got an update as well with Version syncterm 1.8rc2
Renegade BBS for DOS got also an update to Version 1.40.
BinktermPHP 1.8.9 is the latest Version of the fully functional fidonet and bbs suite that runs in browsers.
The crossplattform multiplayer game Darklands is now on Version 0.21.
L.O.R.D. Challenge
The BlackICE BBS will start a Lord of The Red Dragon Door Game Challenge on Mai,01 2026 at 00:00 Local BBS time.
The Multiplayer BBS Game will be played until the Dragon is defeated. Fame and glory awaits the winner of the challenge.
The Dragonslayers name will ingraved on the Wall of Kings where the best players of the BlackICE BBS are noted now for over a decade.

BBSindex.TV had more downtime as uptimes. This domain is beeing transfered right now. BBSindex.CH is already setup in our new infrastructure but you can't see much for now there.

The Website BBSviz contains datasets from various BBS that you can read.
Those QWK datasets are processed with a custom script that provides not only all the messages written in the past by BBS users it also shows different stats.
At the moment the archive starts in 1995 and shows messages from U.S. BBSes.
Updates & Releases
SyncTERM and SyncroNET got updates. SyncTERM is now available in Version 1.8rc1 and SyncroNet in Version 3.21c. Downloads can be found on at Synchro.net.
The new SyncTERM fork PhotonTERM offers nativs SSH support (ed25519, ecdsa, rsa, macOS Keychain, gpg-agent and more)
MacOS/Windows and Linux downloads are on Github.
TERMinator is a new mobile Terminal that comes for iOS and Android. Android Users have to sideload the app for now. iOS users can get it from the offical store.
There is also a Windows port and a port for non-Intel macOS users as well. While a Linux version is planned, it's not available as of writing this news.
Die Diskette, is the Name of a new tiny Museum in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. It will open on March 14th 2026 for the first time.
The owner is planning to open once a month and have a rotation exhibition. The first theme is Portable Computers from 1980s.
All devices are fully functional and visitor are encourage to use them. And on top of it all the entry if free!

Myrient Archive goes dark
The Myrient Archive will go offline on March 31th 2026.
According to the owner of the Archive the webhoster will raise prices due to price increase for storage. Thanks AI.
The Archive contains nearly 400 Terrabyte of Videogames and Tools from various plattforms. Many ROM dumps from arcade boards and more.
BBSindex is downloading a parts of the archive to preserve at least the DOS collection. It will be later found at the BlackICE BBS.
Ravenlordess Nominated
The Cosplayerin Ravenlordess is nominated in the category Cosplay Stars of the Gamehers Awards.
Her Cosplays are mainly from Commodore Amiga Videogames. The public voting is open until March 31th 2026.

BBSindex.de update [2.6.0]: Search
2026-02-13 20:00:05We have now a searchbar integrated into the BBSindex PC Design. The News Database will be searched for Titel and then for the text content of the article. Results will be sorted by news date. You can find the search box on the upper right unter the menue in the PC view of the site.
When you're on the english part of BBSindex your results will only be from articles in english. If you're on the German part you will get results with german and english language.
Other minor updates of BBSindex are mainly in the backend and some small adjustments on different design pages.
We're testing the search only on the PC view of BBSindex for now. We plan to roll out this feature to other designs after the test time frame.
